Anticipatory Grief

Anticipatory Grief Support Groups

Coming Soon

Our professional facilitators offer a safe environment where you can choose to share your feelings and struggles related to the care of your pet, the anticipatory loss of your beloved animal companion and the decisions ahead of you.

The Group discussion includes stressors like: hearing of a new diagnosis, how caregiving impacts your day to day life, effects on relationships with others and work, financial difficulties, questions that linger, resources available, and most importantly, you’ll learn that you are not alone.

The Caregivers Support Group is free. The facilitator is Shaun O’Keefe, a licensed Counselor provided by Memorial Pet Services.  For more information or to RSVP call 608-836-7297.  A reservation is not required.

Please contact us at 608.836.7297 or email us at info@petlossresourcecenter.org for more information about this new group.

Thank you so much for your help during this difficult time. We had our Chula since she was born fifteen years ago and she was always a huge part of our family. I greatly appreciate the kindness of your staff and the way I was made to feel as if my pet was important member of my family. She was given dignity and respect I couldn’t ask for anything better. The thoughtful touches regarding the paw print and her remains helped ease the pain of losing my girl. I couldn’t have asked for anything more.

- Chula Gamillo

We sincerely appreciate the care and handling of our Sally. You treated her with the dignity and respect which she so deserved. Your personal touch reassured us that she was in good hands.
